QGIS Print LayoutsPrint Layouts are a distinct module within QGIS, used to create map layouts maps for printing or publication: Layouts are saved to the QGIS project file (.qgz), so are directly linked to the project There can be many print layouts in one project Layouts can be saved as templates and reused in other projects
When you have prepared the layout in this exercise, save it to the S: drive - the instructor will give you the location. Prepare a map for printingOpen one of the maps you have been working on in this course, and spend ten minutes or so tidying it up in preparation for printing: work out what the map is going to present (this might also be its title) make sure you have the right layers showing - not too many, not too few review the styling for the layers to ensure it’s showing what you want, the way you want it choose an appropriate scale and background layer (if needed)
