  1. Turn on the Annotations toolbar

  2. Click on Text Annotation (the button far right)

  3. Click on the map to add the annotation

File names and paths are show in a courier font: D:\PhotonUser\My Files\Home Folder\QGIS Training\Data\vectorImages/screenshots can be expanded by clicking on them.
