If you would like to use the Astun RSS Controls please speak to your Astun Consultant who will supply you with the relevant zip file containing the assemblies for the controls. There is a separate zip file for each version of the supported Microsoft .NET Framework e.g.

These properties must be set in order for the control to function correctly.
MapSourceName
This is a relative path/filename (no xml extension) e.g. Workshop/AllMaps. This is the mapsource xml file which contains the layers we are interested in for the RSS feed. This filename can be found by clicking on the relevant ‘cog’ icon in iShare Studio and noting the filename in the Title bar - outlined in red in the screenshot below.

MapPageURL
This is the main map page, e.g. http://www.mycouncil.gov.uk/Astun.iShareMaps.Web/atMyCouncil.aspx
LayerGroupName
The name of the Layer group from which the RSS data is to be obtained e.g. Planning 2008
Optional RSS Settings
AlternativeAddressXSL
This holds the name and location of the XSL stylesheet used to customise the appearance of the returned address results.
AlternativeRSSXSL
This holds the name and location of the XSL stylesheet used to customise the appearance of the returned RSS.
AddressPageSize
This sets the number of records that will be retrieved for each page of results with the default being 5.
ChangeLocationDIVID
This is set to the value of the HTML ID attribute for the div grouping the change location controls.
ChangeLocationText
This is the text that will be displayed when it is appropriate for the location to be changed. E.g.
LayerName
The name of the Layer from which the RSS data is to be obtained. If no layer is specified, feeds for all layers are returned.
NoLocationSetMessage
This is the text that will be shown when no location is set. E.g.
SearchBoxID
This is set to the value of the HTML ID attribute for the Address SearchBox.
SearchButtonID
This is set to the value of the HTML ID attribute for the Address Search Button.
SearchButtonText
Changing this setting will allow the user to specify the text of the address search button.
SetLocationDIVID
This is set to the value of the HTML ID attribute for the div grouping the set location controls.
UPRN
Unique Property Reference Number. If this is specified, the RSS feed will be fixed to this location.
