Send Forgotten Password email

If you wish to send a new My Alerts password to a user by email you will need to call the SendForgotPassword method. This method is available to developers from the UserManager.asmx Web Service.

EmailAdr

mandatory

This is the email address to which the "Forgotten Password" email is to be sent. As an email address has to be unique in My Alerts the UserId is not relevant here.

Error - Code / Description

An error code and description if the call to the web service is unsuccessful and the Success if False.

1039 - Invalid Email address provided

Success

This will be either True or False. If False an error message will be provided in the Error result, if True the email has been successfully sent.
