Step 9 - Create & Schedule Job to Import & Build AddressBase Premium data

In order that the AddressBase Premium data is kept up-to-date you need to create a Workflow Job to run the Tasks required to import and build the AddressBase Premium data.

To do this you will need to add a Job entry. Right click on the Jobs entry in the tree and select New Job.

Job Name

Enter a unique name for your job. We have chosen Build My Addresses from AddressBase.

Now you need to create the remaining Tasks that you wish to be run for this job.

If you wish to make searching AddressBase quicker then you can create two extra Tasks to Drop and then Create an Index on the AstunLocationLokup table.

Add the Run Loader to the job

As we created this Task under the Unassigned Tasks we need to allocate it to this Job. Right click on the Job and select Add Exiting Task. Select the Run Loader Task from the list of Available Tasks and click OK.

Check Order of Tasks

Now all you need to do is to make sure that the tasks are run in the correct order; you can use the up  and down  arrows to change the order:

  1. Run Loader
  2. Import the data from the AddressBase database into iShare
  3. Build the Address Lookups
  4. Make the Address Lookups mappable
  5. Add AddressBase View to Geometry columns
  6. Drop Index on AstunLocationLookup
  7. Create Index on AstunLocationLookup

For each task added to the job except the initial one, which in the above scenario is Run Loader, you will need to select the Make dependant on previous task button. This means that each task is dependant upon the previous one completing successfully.

Next you need to schedule when to run the update. Simply select the Job in the tree and add a schedule.

For more information on how to schedule a job please refer to the Job Scheduler topic.
