Map Sources

There are different types of Map Sources which need to be defined for iShare. Each separate Map Source will have a separate .map file associated with it.

MyMaps	These Map Sources are used in My Maps, iShare Lite, iShare Solo and iShare GIS.
BaseMaps	These include Map Sources for the underlying mapping such as OS Data, Aerial Photography etc. These BaseMaps are used in all of the mapping modules except for My House.
My House	These Map Sources are only used in My House.
Logger	These Map Sources are only used in Logger.

For each of the above Map Source types you will be able to:

Edit the map by clicking on the Map Source icon for the Map Source whose .map file you wish to edit and selecting the Map Editor tab.
View the map by clicking on the Map Source icon for the Map Source whose .map file you wish to view and select the Map Viewer tab.
