Configure Workspaces / Shared Services

Introduction

Using Workspaces is a way of serving information to two or more separate Sites using a single centralised iShare installation. Workspaces would also be used if you wish to have a separate site for different Languages e.g. English and Welsh.

At present this functionality would normally be configured by an Astun Consultant.

The internal ‘WebService’ site can be deployed as normal, however there are a few small changes that need to be done.

Steps to setup

1. Create new Application Pools in IIS Manager
2. Setting the default web page for each workspace in IIS Manager
3. Override Configuration & MapSource Settings
4. Configuring the Address Lookups
