Configuring Studio to access your CSW

Before you can associate metadata with iShare Layers you need to:
WebStudio doesn't use the impersonation user from iShare, but it has a setting in webstudio/app/configuration/config.py called ISHARE_WEBSERVICE_USERÂ which should be set in the format of "user@domain" to a user who has access to all Map Sources so that the application can read them.
Configure the WebStudio and MetadataWebService URLs
Open the iShare Settings and click on the Master Settings tab. Now scroll down to the WebService section and make sure that you have the MetadataWebServiceURL and WebStudioURL configured.

Configure your CSW endpoint
Next you will need to enter the details of the Catalogue Service for the Web (CSW). This is found on the External Services tab of the iShare Settings (prior to V5.8.0 on Master Settings tab) e.g.
