Create Job to Refresh the NHS data

In order that the NHS Choices data is kept up-to-date you need to create a Workflow Job to run the tasks required to download and build the NHS data.

To do this you will need to add a Job entry.

  • Right click on the Jobs entry in the tree and select New Job.

Job Name

Enter a unique name for your job e.g. Update NHS Choices.

  • Now you need to create the Task to download the NHS Choices data to the PostGreSQL database
  • Once you have downloaded the data to PostgreSQL you can then create separate Tasks to Create Table for Doctors and any other Type of NHS Choices data e.g. Dentists, Hospitals etc. This will then make it easier to Create your NHS Choices Layers for displaying the data in iShare.
  • Next you need to schedule when to run the update. Simply select the Update NHS Choices Job in the tree and add a schedule.
