Pre-requisites

This release of iShare requires the following to be installed:

• Windows Server 2012 R2, 2012, 2008 R2 or 2008
• Internet Information Services (IIS) Versions 8.5, 8.0, 7.5 or 7.0
• Microsoft .NET Framework V3.5 Service Pack 1 (installed and enabled)

Studio

• Map Name and Type group heading in MapSource dialog has been renamed to Map Settings as it does not always contain a Type and now also contains a map Projection and Map Units.
  
• You may select a Projection for a Map Source (not My House or My Nearest).
• Allow the specification of multi-geometry types.
  
• The tree view should no longer be set to it's minimum width when the form is restored.
• The Tile Cache options are now not shown for WMS tilecaches.
• Standard (OGC) Layer changed so that:
  • the Geometry Table list no longer remains disabled when selecting a different datasource.
  • the Geometry Table list now shows Spatial Views as well as Tables. There is also an icon and tool tip for the selection.
  • the Geometry Type field now has an icon for each type which indicates which type the database is reporting that it uses. Also, the Geometry Type field now correctly indicates which type has been set, even if it is different from what the database is reporting. 
  • Fixed an issue where the Geometry Type field could display the wrong Geometry Type.
    
  • Layers can now be copied either to the same or other Map Sources.
  • Studio should no longer show an out-of-memory error when viewing OGC layers.
  • Simplified adding Links to fields in a Layer so it is now less confusing.
• iShare now supports Unicode characters and apostrophe's in Layer & Layer Group names, thereby permitting Welsh Language characters.
• Stored Procedure Workflow Tasks 
  • should no longer fail if the SQL contains braces {}.
    
  • now have a Timeout list which can be changed per task.
    
• The Workflow Spatial Transformation Task settings Projection as British National Grid and Skip Failures are now correctly saved and honoured.
  
• Studio Settings 
  • now have correct display names and descriptions.
  • which are not used or are deprecated are no longer shown in the Settings grid.
    
  • the Metadata Web Service URL and Web Studio URL can now be cleared.
    
• Studio should no longer throw an exception when setting the Layer datasource to a database which doesn't exist, or has no tables with registered geometry columns.
  
• Map Editor fixes:
  • Now shows the correct .map file when switching between Map Sources.
    
  • Fixed some edge cases where the Map Editor would incorrectly interpret some legitimate content.
    
• CMIS Improvements:
  • Fix issue with very large SOAP response causing Data Share to fail due to an out of memory error.
  • Include base64 image in output.
  • Use local xsd to avoid proxy issues fetching from the web.
    
• Internal DataSource fields added to Map Source now use column aliases set in SQL (and correctly use SQL set in DataSource) and in DataSource field configuration.
• Studio will no longer show an error when adding a DataSource to the Map Source when the Dynamic DataSource URL is not set.
  
• The setting for Zoom Units in the MapSource Startup settings has been removed and replaced with a general Map Units setting located alongside the Projection selector in the main MapSource tab.

Studio ETL 

• This is a new slimmed-down version of iShare Studio with just the Data Share and Workflow modules, primarily intended to sit on the Internal Server, to Extract, Transform & Load (ETL) data to and from the iShare Cloud.

Data Share

• Fixed issue with unnecessary calls to database when getting data for Property Lookup data in Layers. This improves speed of My House.

iShare Core

• Fixed a problem which was causing OGC Layers from working due to case-sensitivity issues.
• Layers and Layer Groups now support UTF-8 characters.
• iShare now correctly uses the Map Pixel Tolerance when performing an Info-click search on a Layer.
  
• When performing an Info-click on a map, a selection circle will be shown for a short time to allow the user to see what is included in the search.
  
• MapServer templates no longer have a hard-coded reference to ogc_fid.
  
• Previously transparent dialogs should now have some basic styling.
  

iShare Maps

• Fix standard iShare Maps always showing unique field in Info-click pop-ups when not selected for display.
• The "Clear Search Results" button should now appear correctly after performing a Find Nearest search.
  
• Fix standard iShare Maps always showing unique field in Info-click pop-ups when not selected for display.
  

iShare GIS

• As we now support different projections the Select & Measure tools have been amended to use Geodesic calculations.
• Allow the specification of multi-geometry types.
  
• Standard (OGC) Layers now:
  • display selected features using the geometry rather than a bounding box.
  • handle geometry fields which aren't named "wkb_geometry" correctly.
    
  • handle user-specified Filters when the Layer has multiple Rules applied to it - requires MapServer 6.4.

• Metadata "View metadata source" link now opens in a new browser tab / window.
• Fixed issue whereby map extents containing negative values would cause PDF printing to fail on load.
  
• Removed the character restrictions for the Layer and Layer Groups display names.
  
• Stopped the map image from using cached images.
  
• Information Browser fixes:
  • Selecting a feature from the Information Browser now highlights the feature using the geometry rather than a bounding box. Also, the styling of the highlight can be changed either on a default or a per-layer basis.
  • Performing a Find Nearest search now clears the Information Browser before listing results.
    
• Annotation Layer fixes:
  • Clicking on the Annotations selection tool no longer causes the loading icon to show.
  • The Annotations styling dialog should now show correctly after it has previously been closed.
    
  • Added a confirmation dialog to the Delete Annotation Layer button.
    
• Clearing the Spatial Filter in the Map Categories panel will now also remove the filter setting from the Information Browser.
  
• Remove Spatial Filter button will now remove just the Spatial Filter if one has been applied to a layer. Previously removed all filters.
• Filtering a layer which has My Nearest results on, no longer removes all of the features.
• The Change Radius dialog now appears next to, and stays attached to the toolbar.
  

• Fix problem with incorrectly calculating the radius of 'circle' vectors. Also ensure that where projection is in metres, that no unnecessary re-projection is done when calculating radius, which led to a further small inaccuracy.

• Fixed problem with double-encoding in print requests which meant print previews would not work.

My House / My Nearest

• Virtual Layer Groups can once again be displayed on the welcome page, i.e. when no location is set. Added alternative XSL to recreate this old behaviour which can be used by setting General->Web->My House Layout XSL to xml/myhouse_layout_panels_no_location.xsl.
  

Web Services

• Layers (OGC) now handle geometry fields which aren't named "wkb_geometry" correctly.
• Fixed a problem with GetOWS.ashx losing POST data.
  
• An empty BufferSearch element should no longer cause invalid JSON to be rendered.
  
• Ensure that we dynamically apply a spatial extent filter to WFS queries on OGC layers, this multiplies the speed of such requests by up to 15 times.
  
• Fixed issue with unnecessary calls to the database when getting data for Property Lookup data in Layers. This improves the speed of My House.
  

Publisher

• Publisher Filters that use greater-than-or-equal-to should no longer cause an Invalid Filter error to be shown.
  
• Publisher will now accept Filters which include the words "and" and "or".
