Adding a new Datasource
Adding a new Datasource
You need to add a Data Share Connection for each data source you wish to synchronise.
With the Data Share Connections node selected right click and select Add DataSource from the context menu. You will see the following dialog:
Select the type of Datasource that you wish to add from the list provided:
- Standard - Data comes from external database or file.
- Internal - Data is internal to the Data Share database
- Internal Merged - Data comes from a combination of internal Data Sources
- Internal Command - Data comes from a command run in the Data Share database
- Internal Function - Data comes from a function with parameters in the Data Share database
- XML Feed - Data comes form an XML feed such as RSS, GeoRSS etc.
- Dynamic - Data is retrieved from its source by a python plugin at the time of a user request
Table names in PostgreSQL should NOT contain the string 'error' or 'failure' as this causes a Workflow failure.
Once you have added your Datasource the General Data Share Connection Details will be the same regardless of Datasource Type.
